This beautiful little incense censer is handmade by star child at their studio in Glastonbury, England. Used for resin, flower, and leaf incense offerings or as a tealight holder, this is ideal for ritual inclusion. With the bowl lifted off the ground by its hand-sculpted stem, it is shaped like a chalice. It comes part glazed, with the inside of the bowl finished in glorious red colour. Made using stoneware craft clay, the remainder of the censer is natural and rustic with a tactile finish. Furthermore, each bowl will have unique markings and colourings due to its handmade nature.USING SAND WITH YOUR CENSERWhen using this censer, it is recommended that you fill a third of the bowl with sand. Doing this will help retain the heat, allowing the charcoal to burn more evenly and longer. When you purchase your censer, it will arrive with a small bag of sand for this purpose.INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIGHTING RESINIn general, the best way to burn resin is with the use of a charcoal disk. To begin:Light the charcoal round in your censer.Wait until it begins to turn white.Then, carefully drop a few pieces of resin onto the charcoal.You will find that both the charcoal and resin should continue to burn.
